This term we have been learning about where we come from. We were lucky enough to go on our local Train to Taumarere as this is our awa. It was a great trip.

    1. Hi Lydia. Yep it was an awesome experience seeing and learning all about Taumarere.
Thank you but as our teacher created our blogger page at the start of the year and she can't remember how she did it. We think you go in to your blogger settings.

    1. Hi Lotte, I am a student in room 6.
We use our chrome books for all different things, our teacher has hapara and controls all the things we can do. Most of our school is on chrome books now and we use them for researching and doing all of our work on them. We have class site so in the mornings once we get the permission to go on our chrome books we go straight to our class site and find out what we will be doing for the day. So theres all things we do on our chrome books depending if that is our task during the day.

Thank you for commenting on our blogger.

    3. Hi Alex T,
That is really interesting to know about the Chromebooks.
Seems as that at our school we have our own computers so we don't use Chromebooks, we also have this thing called SRL (Self Regulated Learning) - we do this for 2 to even 4 periods a day. During this time we do things sauch as Maths Tasks, Passion Project, Future Problem Solving, reading for our 40 book Challenge, what I am doing right now and so on.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
      Thanks,
      Lotte

  3. Kia ora Ruma Ono - I am Chris Meehan, teacher of Totara class Years 7/8 students at Ashley School in North Canterbury. We are delighted to be quadblogging buddies with Kawakawa Primary School, but I must apologise for the fact that we are a little late with joining in, as in our busy-ness, we have been commenting in the wrong blog! Here we are now though so tomorrow and Friday our 30 students will be blog-bombing!

It’s really interesting seeing what your school does and how other schools learn different from others.
